FIND OUT WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON

Do you have plans this weekend?

Who am I kidding? Of course you don’t; it’s COVID season! However, the plain fact that it’s a weird and crazy time doesn’t mean you can’t still have a good time – safely. This weekend is the 18th Annual virtual New York Burlesque Festival.

This Friday, Saturday & Sunday

What is the New York Burlesque Festival, you ask?

Well, aside from being an amazing showcase of talent, beauty, sass and class, it is an annual festival that features over 100 performers from all walks of life, making it one of the biggest burlesque shows there is.

With ticket prices ranging from $20 to $130 and performers like Jeez Loueez and Minneapolis’ very own Foxy Tann there isn’t a single reason to miss out!

I’ll make it even easier for you and add a little magical word for you to click and get your tickets 🙂

At Fox Den Salon we love to support our lovely baddies, so let me tell you a little bit about the producers of The New York Burlesque Festival

Angie Pontani is a literal goddess. The Brooklyn babe mesmerizes her audience in such a way that has given her the title of “Queen of Burlesque, Miss Exotic World” and multiple awards to go along with it. Angie has worked with multiple artists such as (but not limited to) Lady Gaga, Snoop Dogg, Donatella Versace and Dita Von Teese.

Jen Gapay was voted the #1 Most Influential Non-Performing Woman in Burlesque by 21st Century Burlesque in 2013 & 2014. Hands down one of the best music and burlesque producers out there. Jen is the mastermind behind Thirsty Girl Productions which debuted in 1997 at the rock-and-roll carnival, The Capital Hill Block Party, that still rocks out this this day.

Speaking of burlesque… we just so happen to sponsor an amazing event, Nudie Nubies. This competition is the only amateur burlesque competition of its kind in the Twin Cities and Bay Area, that gives amateur burlesque performers a magical, energetic and nurturing place to showcase their art and passion, and above all grow into the beautiful humans they are meant to be.

Remember: supporting others leads to others supporting you. Check out these badass humans and see what they’re really all about! What have you got to lose?

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

It is with great respect and humility that we acknowledge that we gather and create on the traditional land of the Dakota people and the many other tribes that have stewarded it for generations.  This beautiful and often complicated city has been the ancestral home to the Dakota people, as well as a home to the Ojibwe (Anishinaabeg), Ho-Chunk, Cheyenne, Oto, Iowa, Sauk and Meskwaki people over generations.  The continual strategic disenfranchisement of the colonial settlers on the native peoples of this land have diminished but not deterred the capacity for acknowledgement of the many gifts, strengths, voices, and achievements of the indigenous people that have come before, as well as  those that remain in our communities.
