At Fox Den Salon, we offer the highest quality Hair Salon services in Minneapolis, but we don’t do it as individuals, we do it as a team. ​

Our staff works as unique stylists and support staff with various strengths, specialties, and diverse backgrounds. Under the umbrella of our salon’s mission and goals we create a dynamic and welcoming environment to focus on our craft, develop our techniques, and create long-lasting relationships with our clients and community.

BOOTH RENTAL

LICENSED STYLISTS | SHORT AND LONG TERM

This established neighborhood salon is offering a variety of open concept, semi-private, and multi-chair rental options for independent stylists that want to have control over their future, with the support of the Fox Den Salon brand.

Amenities include:

SPECIALIZED STYLISTS

LICENSED STYLISTS WITH A FOCUS IN ONE AREA

Specialized stylists are welcome at both Fox Den Salon locations to work as licensed commissioned stylists at Lake Street or Independent Booth Renters at Hennepin.

While many of the staff of Fox Den Salon generalize with specialties in multiple areas, we welcome those that specialize to join our staff.

Each commissioned stylist begins on a minimum 3 month long evaluative period that involves facilitating the stylists own independent clientele on a regular weekly schedule. All incoming stylists must perform a basic evaluation for skill level and standards of performance, with immediate opportunities to expand the stylist’s offerings through checkpoints and evaluation. The employee receives a base pay, commission on products, and tips during their probationary period OR commission on services and products and tips to incentivize personal promotion and branding, whichever is higher.

The employee receives all benefits of employment, including ongoing one on one coaching, weekly education, paid sick leave, and 50% matching funds for external relevant education of up to $300 per year, and benefits from liability insurance, complimentary backbar product, in salon laundry, front desk staff, online booking system, professional email and promotional support items, and a supportive, highly educated, team environment.

FRONT OF HOUSE

FRONT DESK, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND

OPERATIONS

Our front of house staff is responsible for delivering exceptional and tailored customer service to a diverse clientele, communicating effectively with customers and coworkers, and being independently motivated to achieve their goals.

Our front of house staff assists in

maintaining our social media and marketing

supporting our stylists

capturing images of stylists’ work

supporting the salon’s events through tasks and outreach

administrative duties

assisting clients in scheduling and checking out

assisting and facilitating retail sales

The front desk is offered competitive pay and additional compensation for additional competencies, as well as sick pay and 50% matching funds for external relevant education of up to $300 per year, as well as complimentary services.

COMISSIONED STYLISTS

NEW STYLISTS

LICENSED STYLISTS LOOKING TO BUILD CLIENTELE

New stylists are welcome at both Fox Den Salon locations to work as licensed stylists. While we understand that school does not always prepare everyone for the styling world, there is an endless amount of education that does not come from inside the four walls that validate stylists with a certificate, and some people are ready to get out there.

New stylists are welcome to join our staff for a minimum 3 month long evaluative period that involves facilitating the stylists own independent clientele on a regular weekly schedule, and creating an ongoing education plan. The program begins with a basic evaluation for skill level and standards of performance, with ongoing opportunities to expand the stylist’s offerings through checkpoints and evaluation.

The employee receives a base pay, commission on products, and tips during their probationary period OR commission on services and products and tips to incentivize personal promotion and branding, whichever is higher. The employee receives all benefits of employment, including ongoing one on one coaching, weekly education, paid sick leave, and 50% matching funds for external relevant education of up to $300 per year.

ASSISTING

LICENSED STYLISTS LOOKING TO BUILD SKILLS

Associate and Assisting programs at Fox Den Salon:Lake Street are developmental experiences for the freshly licensed stylist. 

The program is a 6-12 month long evaluative period that begins with intensive experiential learning and independent study that is self-paced for the individuals’ needs and ambition. The stylist has the ability to work on the floor, with ongoing opportunities to expand their offerings through checkpoints and evaluation.

The employee receives a base pay, commission on products, and tips during their service hours and transitions to commission during the final period of the program to incentivize personal promotion and branding, with ongoing one on one coaching and bi-weekly education.
