STYLIST
MOTH

Moth found their passion for doing hair by realizing they wanted to help everyone to feel confident in their own body. When DIY dorm room cuts and colors weren’t enough they went on to study at the Aveda Institute in Minneapolis, graduating in early 2017. The quest for knowledge didn’t stop there. They completed an apprenticeship at a local salon, and assisted a small magazine. Eventually, Moth’s love for facts became more than just hair, and turned into a love for any tid bit of random information. “Did you know they’ve found giant squids in the ocean up to 59ft?!” Whether you are shy and prefer a good book as your conversation or are ready for a chat, Moth makes it their goal to make you as comfortable as possible during your hair journey. They will take on any challenge from transformative colors to detailed cuts and believes in a thorough consultation to make your dream hair a reality.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
It is with great respect and humility that we acknowledge that we gather and create on the traditional land of the Dakota people and the many other tribes that have stewarded it for generations. This beautiful and often complicated city has been the ancestral home to the Dakota people, as well as a home to the Ojibwe (Anishinaabeg), Ho-Chunk, Cheyenne, Oto, Iowa, Sauk and Meskwaki people over generations. The continual strategic disenfranchisement of the colonial settlers on the native peoples of this land have diminished but not deterred the capacity for acknowledgement of the many gifts, strengths, voices, and achievements of the indigenous people that have come before, as well as those that remain in our communities.
